Four years ago Jay-Z issued a lyrical taunt to his fellow rappers: “What you call money, I pay more in taxes.” Turns out his line was more than just a boast.
Jay-Z pulled in $63 million over the past 12 months, earning him his second straight hip-hop cash crown. His income level places him in the 35% tax bracket, which means he’ll pay Uncle Sam about $22 million this year–a sum greater than the total earnings of any other rap star besides second-ranked Diddy.

Yesterday Facebook rolled out a new feature called Places that lets you and your friends check in to locations, Foursquare-style. If you’d prefer to keep your location private, or at least stop your friends from posting it, here’s how.
If you’re not convinced that posting your location can be a bad thing, check out PleaseRobMe for some evidence. Of course, if you’re careful, check-ins aren’t inherently a bad thing.

According to an anonymous Download Squadsource, the rumored Verizon tablet will hit stories November 26, 2010, Black Friday.
Download Squad writes that the tablet will be manufactured by HTC and run on Google’s Chrome operating system.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Dr. Laura Schlessinger, the talk show host who recently apologized for saying the N-word 11 times to a caller on the air, said Tuesday she plans to give up her radio show when her contract is up at the end of this year.
The conservative advice maven made the announcement on CNN’s “Larry King Live,” saying she wants to “regain her First Amendment rights.”

- PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) — Haiti’s electoral commission said late Tuesday that it was postponing its ruling on who will be allowed to run for president in November elections, leaving hip hop artist Wyclef Jean’s candidacy in limbo.
A statement from the commission, known as the CEP, said it would postpone the announcement until Friday.

That right there is a picture of Rachel Stieringer’s baby taking some wicked bong rips. She was arrested for posting the picture on Facebook.
Before you freak out: the baby passed a drug test, so this was obviously a staged shot. Anyways, there’s no way a baby has the fine motor control necessary to handle the slide and clear a bong properly. I mean, please.
